About Little Rock Bat Removal

Welcome to littlerockbat.com. We are the only qualified bat removal company in Little Rock, Arkansas. Our team specializes in humanely removing bats from homes and other locations. Many people may try to remove the bats themselves, this course of action is not recommended however. This is because bats can carry disease and could potentially fight back if they perceive a person as a threat. Aside from the threat the bats pose, if one does succeed in removing the bats from a location they will be faced with two more problems. The first is the fact that the bats could still return if their pathways are not properly taken care of. The second problem is the mess they leave, bats tend to leave foul odors and stains in places they infest and they prove to be very difficult to clean. Our team specializes in clearing out bats from your home ethically and completely. We utilize a sealing method in which we locate all the pathways the bats use to enter your home and plug them with special devices. These special devices are designed to keep bats out. It functions like a one way door, so bats can leave, but they can't enter your home again. Once that is taken care of, our team also has specialists that can clean the mess that the bats left behind such as urines and stains. We will make sure that there is no bat guano left behind, so that there will be no further damages in the future. We can also further inspect your home to pinpoint any other concerning points that we notice, so that you can start to patch up these problems. We operate 24-7-365, so don't hesitate to call us at 501-510-1047 to discuss your bat problem and schedule a fast appointment.

We are experts at removing bats from residential properties. Whether you have a single bat trapped in your house, a colony roosting in your attic, and/or various other problems, there is no need to worry! During our removal process, we make sure to inspect your entire home carefully, tracking down all the entrypoints bats are using to invade your place. Next, we perform a process called live exclusion (where no bats are harmed and all exit your property), then seal all entry holes completely shut. Commercial

Besides residential areas, we also have a wealth of experience removing bats from commercial properties! We begin by investigating the area for possible bat entrances, covering holes even as small as 1/4 of an inch. Through our live exclusion process, bats leave the building through one-way exits, and we seal up every hole afterward. Once the bats have been removed, we perform a cleanup process. This includes dealing with guano, replacing damaged insulation, and decontaminating the place.

Mating Habits of Bats

When there are bats around your property, you are going to wonder what is going to happen once mating season comes around. With so much going on, you need to know what to expect.

Bats are unlike humans, and unlike many other animals. The way they breed, and the way they raise their young, is unlike humans. For them, it is all about colonies.

If you have a bat infestation, it is important you understand this before taking action to remove them. If you are merely curious about them, their habits are interesting and unique. It is something that most people should know.

Time to Mate

At the end of winter, just before spring is about to start, the bats are ready to mate. This is the time when most animals choose to mate. Spring brings with it food, warmth, and shelter, everything a pregnant animal needs to survive in the wild.

Sometimes, though, food might still be scarce. For bats, that is no problem. After impregnation, the female can hold on to the sperm for up to several months. She can choose when to impregnate herself depending on the right time.

This can lead to the time between mating and birth being anywhere from weeks to months.

The Mating

Bats typically live in colonies. Females go with their own colonies, while males go with their own or live on their own.

When they go to mate, the males will seek out female colonies. They will mate with multiple females to increase their chances of impregnation as much as possible.

Pregnant Bats

After the bat becomes pregnant, she will remain with her colony and raise her young with other bats. The bats will care for their young and hunt together.

As newborn bats cannot see or fly, and will need assistance for a few weeks until they are ready to fly and be on their own, they rely entirely on this colony to survive.

After a year and a half, the new bats are ready to restart the mating process on their own.

The mating habits of bats are simple to understand. They are a group-focused species that does not rely on coupling up, like some other animals. They rely on being together for raising their young and finding mates. Their ability to hold the sperm for their own chosen amount of time and their community focus makes their habits somewhat unique.
